Real Madrid Came Back To Beat Al Jazira In Club World Cup Semi Final

Club world cup semi-final clash between Real Madrid and Al Jazira was completely took over by Virtual Assistant Referee aka VAR. The match was kicked off in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday evening at the Zayed Sports City Stadium.

The main talking point of the game is the disallowed goal each team grabbed during the play time. Both sides had goals disallowed via VAR with Casemiro denied the opening goal for a push on 30th minute after finding the net with a header. It was eventually ruled out by the VAR as Karim Benzema was deemed to be offside. Lately Mbark Boussoufa was pulled up for offside after appearing to have doubled the emirati Club’s lead.

The Wales international played a super sub role as he scored a brazing first touch goal after coming in to the pitch in 81th minute.

Since Virtual Assistant Referee aka VAR is a relatively new thing in professional football, fans are actually getting a grip on it.

Gareth Bale questioned the merits of VAR after rescuing a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid against Al Jazira in the Club World Cup semi-finals.

“I don’t like VAR to be honest,” said Bale. “I think football is better without it, but that is my opinion.”
